Vucko, the dog who got his face blown off

I bet some of you might not care about the previous post I made about the animals suffering for furcoats. About how they were skinned alive and how that one raccoon was still able to lift it's head and look at his body, and the bodies surrounding his, after it was skinned. But this is more serious (not that the animals dying for fur is not serious but still....) and I think it will shock many of who read this blog.

Here’s the horrible tale of what happened to Vucko, the German Shepherd.

Two intoxicated youths in Bosnia duct-taped a firework in a German Shepherd’s mouth and blew off his face. But the torture didn’t stop there. The poor dog, known as Vucko, wandered in agony for five days, unable to eat and with maggots infecting the meaty pulp of his ruined face. Vucko was finally picked up by authorities and euthanized after vets were unable to perform reconstructive surgery.

Unfortunately, Vucko was euthanized, but his death doesn’t have to be in vain. This tragedy is a perfect opportunity to promote animal abuse awareness in an area where animal rights are practically nonexistent.

We must bring the animal abusers to justice and ensure that this inhumanity is never repeated; sadly, animal welfare laws are practically nonexistent in much of Eastern Europe. Sign this petition urging Bosnian authorities to hunt down the guilty parties, expose the severity of animal abuse, and create proper legislation that will protect animals. Don't let Vucko die in vain!
