Piglets

So, today finally was the day that the pig Roos gave birth to her piglets. It was her first time and she did very well! She had more then I expected. I can ramble on and on about this but since I am actually pretty tired I won't do that today and just upload the pictures and go on with reading in my new book.

Enjoy the pink babymadness!

Jumping guinea-pig

So, I was making pictures for a friend of mine and while I was doing that I (accidentally) made a picture of Katie jumping from the little wooden cot in their cage. I put it on the side so they couldn't go and hide while I made the pictures. Still they jumped ontop of it and when they get up they also need to get down. Katie demonstrated how that is done.

The fighting fish who lived here

I found out that I am pretty quiet here lately so I decided to put up a new blog.

A little while ago I bought 3 Siamese Fighting Fish, 1 male and 2 females. I haven't posted about them yet so this blog will be about them.

I've had fighting fish before but 1 I had to sell because he started to kill all the other fish in my tank. This is the killing fighting fish:

The second came after my Guppy's left the tank since the first focussed his killings on them. He was a beautiful one and was harmless to the other fish. Unfortunally he ended up being eaten by my killing lobster. This is him:

My new male is here for about a month now together with his two females. I only have a picture of the male. One of the females is a dark blue and the other a light pink.
This male is a nice one as well. Leaves the other fish alone but isn't afraid to try to impress his own reflection as he was doing on this next picture.

Snoes

Maybe you remember the blogpost about the mystery black and white cat on the petting zoo. If not, here's the link to: Who are you?

The strange cat was at the petting zoo for 2 weeks before he was captured. The animal was hungry and very light. He obviously had lost a lot of weight when he was walking around lost.

Now I have the answers to the questions in that other post. His name is Pip but before his owner was found we started to call him Snoes so that is still his name now. He had been missing for about a month and didn't even really live that far away from the petting zoo. His owners had even looked for him in the park but hadn't found him back then.
It appears he came from the shelter in first place. He had been pretty old back then and that was six years ago. He is about 14 maybe even 15 years old now.
His owner was very shocked when she saw how skinny he was.

But eventhough his owner is found he still lives on the petting zoo. She thought it was better if he stayed since he likes going outside and with her he is not able to go outside. He's a sweety, yesterday afternoon he spend the whole time outside, walking to the visitors, cuddling with the kids, making people fall for his sweetness and cuteness and meeting some new animals.

These pictures are taken between Easter and today.

Balou is here!

Today my pregnant guinea-pig (pregnant from her brother unfortunally....) decided to give birth right when I was watching.
First a beautiful white and black girl was born and second a three colored boy was born. The second one was smaller but that was only good because unfortunally the big female died not long after she was born. It is possible she got alot of fluid in her lungs because maybe, because she was so big, it took too long before she was born.

I named the little boy Balou since I name the babies born here alphabetical, Gina's sons both had a name starting with a A and now Katie's boy had to have a name starting with a B.

Anyway, here are the little ones!

First when they were just born it were two of them.

And these were taken later today after the female died.

Rest In Peace Zinzi

So, if you came here because you know me on twitter you have already heard the news of my beloved Teddy Widder female Zinzi's death.
Unfortunally this death was way too early, the poor bunnygirl had not even reached the age of 10 months yet.

I am still not sure what caused her death. Somebody I know said that maybe she had a problem with her little heart some defect she was born with, one good scare and that was it. I think that is probably the best explanation I've heard. All I know is that two hours before her death she was fine, she was happily eating a small piece of tomato and two hours later there was a scared squeeck and when I picked her up she was cold, her lips were blue and before I could even get my coat and shoes on for a trip to the vet she died in my arms.

I'll never forget Zinzi, never forget all the times where she hopped away from me when she knew it was time to be brushed, all the times where she laid next to me together with her friend Sunny when the brush was nowhere to be seen. Zinzi will forever hold a place in my heart but at least I know she is safe now, she is with my other girls and boys who already passed away and I know at least Selena and Babs will take very good care of her somewhere on the green fields near the rainbowbridge.

The day I got her she couldn't see a thing because of the hair falling infront of her eyes.

So the next day I cut the hair on her head
 Sunny adored her big sis

 Pretty blue eyes
 They were so close

A nice meal together about a month back
